-Something New!-
I've been wanting to do more with this blog besides answer those thought provoking prompts
Meg provides us with daily. So I've decided to use this to journal my education, as well. Let's face it, my brain goes 10 miles a second and I don't always take the time to sit still long enough to not only think about the prompt, but write it out as well. But I will continue to try... at least once a week for now, since it's so important to my journaling skills.
So, about my education. I've been wanting to learn how to make elements for quite some time now. My reasoning is that while I love to create layouts, I don't have as much imagination as I think I should have to make the jaw-dropping ones. I'm more of a technical kinda gal. This doesn't mean I wont be doing layouts anymore, on the contrary, I'm about to start working on 2 books in the next few weeks! Anyway, I've been doing a bunch of tutorials for months now and I think I'm to the point where I'm ready to share a few. Unfortunately, when my laptop died, most of my work died with it, so I'm kind of starting over, I guess.
So what I'll be posting is the element that I've created and information on how I did it (usually a link to the tutorial). I want to work up to doing one a day. I know it's possible, I just have to figure out how! lol
Rules: These elements are free. If you use them, please credit me, Monica Jemison, and by all means... let me see!!! Oh, and if you do download, leave a comment letting me know what you think. That's it!
Ok, without further mumbo-jumbo, I present to you my first element for public use!!

I used Photoshop Elements 4.0 to create this rich-looking curtain. You can find the tutorial
here.If you decide to do it yourself, let me know, I'd love to see how yours came out!
To download this background, just right-click and save!
Enjoy!
Monica
